1. How do you apply Thatch Marshal 8000?
We apply Thatch Marshal 8000 with an airless roof sprayer at 3000 psi. On the outside we apply
0.9 L per m2 and on the inside 0.3 L per m2 (double coat). Any high-risk areas, like chimneys, braais and overhangs, are treated with a double coat.
2. Do I get a completion certificate?
Yes, If one of our trained applicators do the application.
3. For how long is the completion certificate valid?
5 years.
4. Do you treat the inside and outside of the roof? Can you spray only the outside?
Yes, we do both inside and outside. It is not acceptable to treat only the outside.
5. Can buy Thatch Marshal 8000 off the shelf in a shop?
No, since special training is required to apply Thatch Marshal 8000 correctly, we are the sole suppliers. We are located at 5 Dieperink Street, Delporton, Krugersdorp.
6. Can I apply Thatch Marshal 8000 myself?
If you don't require a completion certificate (for insurance or other purposes), then you can follow our application instructions. You will need an airless roofsprayer and safety eqiupment to apply it correctly.
7. What happens if my thatch has been brushed after an application?
This will void the completion certificate. You'll need to redo the Thatch Marshal 8000 application.
8. How do I prepare my thatch roof for a Thatch Marshal 8000 application?
New thatch is ready as is. Old thatch should be brushed before commencing with the application.
